Senior Software Engineer - TypeScript/React, FICC

We're seeking a SeniorJavaScript/TypeScript Engineer to join our team to build new products and scale to more users. The position is focused on UI engineering but offers opportunity to work on API design and back-end code.

We are a small development team within DRW rebuilding existing applications from the ground up and creating completely new ones. These applications are mission-critical and used daily by our traders whom we work directly with. While our applications are used by a relatively small but growing set of users, the decisions made through them are very large. This is a chance to build quality applications using modern technology and practices. Our code is all written in the latest version of TypeScript and our applications are powered by React/Redux. We use gRPC-web for communication between our web-based applications and back-end APIs. Our applications are containerized with Docker and deployed to a Kubernetes cluster.

Requirements:

• Strong ability to work with people and their ideas, and then design, engineer, and deliver those ideas as well-built products
• Strong software engineering background
• Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and latest versions of React
• Strong API design skills
• User-interface design skills and an appreciation for visual direction

Desirable skills:

• Experience with Docker
• Experience with gRPC
• Experience or interest in finance
• Strong experience with Python or at least 1 other programming language
