As a Business Development Lead, you’ll join a team of highly talented technologists, traders and researchers, and you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, and driving growth opportunities.  This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a new blockchain technology incubation unit and benefit from professional development in a highly supportive and collaborative environment.


  • Actively source inbound blockchain project incubation opportunities and identify early stage business development opportunities
  • Drive external outreach to ecosystem participants that could benefit from working with Cumberland to fill voids in the crypto ecosystem
  • Perform industry research and analysis for the market, map promising sectors of the cryptoasset ecosystem, and stay on top of industry trends
  • Form, communicate and present data-driven recommendations and presentation materials to leadership and prospective partners
  • Work directly with all internal teams in the execution of business initiatives, driving projects and investments to completion

Required Skills & Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of existing crypto projects, emerging trends, and new technologies
  • Strong network of high-value members of the community a plus
  • 3+ years of professional experience in crypto via work with ecosystem projects, trading firms, or early stage investment firms; previous exposure to early-stage venture investing is encouraged
  • Ability to build and maintain a regular pipeline of potential project incubation and partnership opportunities
  • Outstanding initiative, sense of urgency, and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively
